Weekly wrap #18 : December is here !

Hello Monday !I decided to change the format of my weekly wrap post…. so for today here are 10 random facts about my past week :

1. I finally got my tree up and the lights on. But the decorations are still waiting their turn. At least they are unwrapped and all we have to do is put them on the tree.

2. I was in the UK for 2 days, and spent a lot of time with my international colleagues. Being with them always reminds me how much I love my job and how lucky I am to work in an international environment. On our team there are Germans, Americans, English, French, a Cypriot, a Brazilian, an Italian, and someone from the Czech Republic.

3. I love seeing the Christmas decorations in the stores and on the store fronts. I had take some great photos but erased them by accident from my phone. Boo.

4. I got 3 days of marathon training in, and was very pleased because the week had been so hectic. This meant I had to get up early and run in the dark ! I am thinking I need a brighter jacket.

5. My weekend run was actually very short, 10K but for some reason my legs and lower back were really tired and achy all weekend. Maybe it is because I wore heels several times to work this week ?

6. We went to a private party in a nightclub over the weekend. It was fun to dress up and go out as a family. My youngest wanted to come home at midnight (so did my husband and I!). So I left my eldest with her cousin and they closed the place down at 3 a.m.

7. Being away for work this week meant I had all my housework to do this weekend. Which was fine but the only thing I haven’t done is the dusting. I haven’t done it for some time. That is the one thing I don’t like to do. Sorry dust.

8. I still haven’t done my holiday cards. Time is running out.

9. Hard to believe it is the second week of December and we are still having weather in the fifties. People were out running in t-shirts and shorts !

10. I have started to think about my racing schedule for 2016. I am thinking a race a month would be a good goal….

I am linking up again with Holly and Tricia at Hoho runs and Misssippipiddlin for their Weekly Wrap. Be sure to check them out and be sure to check out the other bloggers. So much fun catching up every week.

How was your week ? Have you put up your tree ? Thought about your racing schedule for 2016 ? Have a great week !

A race a month does seem like a reasonable goal. I have a few where I only have 3 weeks between races, but they are relatively short events so that is manageable. I agree, wearing heels more than you’re used to can probably impact your biomechanics more than you think. I hardly ever wear heels now – have a bunch of beautiful pairs collecting dust. I should probably eBay them.

I like heels once in a while but several days in a row with walking just was not kind to my body.

I don’t even bother with the cards anymore…and I own a printing company!!! Bad, I know. But I guess I’m just over it now. I just subscribed to your sit. I’ve been here before, and remembered that I enjoyed it.

I hope you get a chance to check out mine sometime. I am doing the weekly wrap today today with a post about the most bizarre run ever. Hope you get a chance to take a look sometime.

I stopped the holiday cards quite few years ago. We get very few of them as well. You and your daughters looks so lovely. I think one race a month is very doable. I wish I could make plans, but just haven’t yet waiting on my foot. I always decorate my house before doing anything else, so the tree is up. The shopping and cleaning? Not done. I HATE dusting! I appreciate you linking with us, Karen. Have a great week!

Great week Karen, it is nice to dress up and go to a party. Love the pictures of you with your daughters. Great job on getting in your runs this week too even if it was dark. I have not got my tree yet. We’re supposed to go this weekend to a Christmas tree farm and cut one down. My daughter wanted a real tree this year so a real tree it is. I already have several races lined up for 2016 but not even thinking about them until this marathon. Remember it’s AFTER the marathon…. I am about ready for all this scheduled training to be over with though. Thanks for linking and always your support. Have a great week!

We have an artificial tree and would love a real one, but I think our apartment is way to hot. I am actually liking the scheduled training. It is forcing me to run and “train”… the first time I have really followed a training plan !

My cards were ordered just after Thanksgiving (family photo for the church directory), but the annual letter has yet to be composed/drafted. I always get my trees up and lit quickly, the ornaments…not so much (you honestly cannot tell from the street anyways). And I actually have started receiving some of my online-purchased gifts! I’m a very accomplished procrastinator, and actually get my best work done while under deadline. Good job with your training runs!

I’m jealous. You are way ahead of the game in my book. Good for you ! I usually am but this year just can’t get to things…

Our tree is not up either. Maybe today…I keep saying that. It looks so gorgeous there still! It’s supposed to hit 60 here this weekend so we are very mild, but because we got down to 12 degrees everything is barren. I share your pain on the high heels thing. Not sure how I ever wore them daily. Ouch.

I enjoyed the format of your post this week. It’s still warm here too. The temps are in the 60’s and 70’s. Definitely doesn’t feel like Christmas time. We got our decorations up after Thanksgiving, but we’ve still got a lot of shopping to do. I haven’t a clue what to get my husband. One race a month is a good goal. There’s always plenty of races to choose from here. I’ve got a few half’s that I would like to do from Jan-May of next year. Beyond that I’m not sure.
