Weekend full of hiking, climbing and running

Hello everyone ! I have been away for the past few days, with my husband and friends. We went to Southern France, on the mediterranean right near St. Tropez. It is a very hilly region of France and I spent four days climbing up hills, going up stairs and over rocks. It was a great workout and the soreness in my hips proves it, if there is any doubt.

Here is a quick glimpse into weekend fitness  :

Friday : 2,5 hour hike along the water. The view, the trail :

Saturday : sightseeing going up and down really steep streets in several towns

Sunday : 6 km run in the sand before the sun (and people) come out, avoiding the jellyfish washed up on shore

Monday : 9 km trail run, where the start of the run had a gorgeous view, but then then trail was through the woods.

It was a great weekend, filled with perfect weather, lots of fitness, discovery of a new region and friends.  My partner in crime while our husbands were diving :

  1. I remember how hilly southern France was when we were there. Nice to have that little escape so close by you!

It was the first time I had been to that region. I would definitely go back, despite the hills.

Yes, those views look familiar to me too.

You asked me to let you know what I thought of Pitch Perfect 2. I’m happy to say its easily as funny as the first!! You’ll have to go when it comes out. Lots of laughs – Fat Amy is just the same. You’ve a treat in store for you.
