If we were having coffee, I would like to know if you survived the “back to school” craziness ? Even if you don’t have kids, September has that feeling of renewal, with the start of new activities, a new routine, new possibilities.
On this side of the Atlantic, so far, so good. My kids are now a freshman and a junior, both are very happy in school and have some new activities on their agenda.
We celebrated my youngest’s birthday this month. How did that happen ?
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have NO travel for the month to come. Yeah ! June, July, August and September were crazy, so I am glad to stick close to home for the next 4 weeks. In September I did make it to Istanbul and the US, and was in Princeton, NJ for a couple days. Gorgeous.
If we were having coffee, I am sure we would talk about running. I had 2 races this past month that I fully enjoyed, Paris Versailles 16K and La Parisienne. I have physically been feeling good with very little knee or shin pain. I have been doing strength training, and faithfully stretching. Physically, I am feeling quite bada$$ !
Over coffee, house projects would be discussed. Coordinating projects is such a pain, but the end result is always so satisfactory. I had both of my bathrooms re-tiled and I also got rid of a couch. We got a new couch over a year ago, and I had been trying to give the old one away ever since. With so many people moving into new apartments in September, I was sure I would find a taker. After several close calls, no luck. I couldn’t stand that green couch taking up space in my living room anymore. I had friends over one Monday night and they helped us put it out in the street, (because the city comes around every Tuesday morning to pick up big objects). Yes. It was about time.
Over coffee we would talk about the Paris Marathon. Training starts Monday !
I would want to know what’s new with you ! How was your month ?
