If we were having coffee I would hope it would be outside at a café. We have had such great weather here for the past 2 months, I want to soak up every last minute. Because yes, Winter is Coming.
Over coffee I am sure we would talk about running. October is a big racing and training months for many people, so if you run I would want to know how things are going ! It was a good month for me, I completed 5 weeks of marathon training and am pretty happy with how things are going. I also had several races and completed my second half marathon, the Vincennes Half Marathon as a training run. While I wasn’t fast, I don’t care because that wasn’t my goal ! Having said that, I am actually quite happy that I don’t have another race, the Four Castles, until November 22. I needed a bit of a break. Especially since I am traveling internationally this week, the time zone difference and jet lag wouldn’t have worked out too well.
If we were having coffee I would want to know if you have started your Christmas shopping, or have anticipated your holiday plans. Going anywhere? My husband changed jobs within his company so won’t be able to take any time off. Most of our family in France is in and around Paris anyway, so we won’t need to travel.
Over coffee, I would like to know if you have made any good recipes lately ? I need some new ideas and they need to be very simple. All my meals look like this (roasted veggies & protein).
Over coffee I would want to know if you have ever done a Maximum Aerobic Speed test. With Paris Half Marathon registration you can do the test for free. A very interesting experience. 13 km/h was my result.
Over coffee I would like to know if you have a fitbit and if you like it. I just got one and I’m really liking (loving?) it. It is like this constant reminder to be good to your body, be active…. and wearing it is like this “announcement” to the world that you care about your health. I feel like I need to respect it and live up it its expectations because I am wearing it. Sound crazy ?
If we were having coffee we might talk about work. I changed jobs a little more than a year ago and looking back it has been a great year. I feel blessed for having the opportunities I do. I get to take initiative, travel and regularly work with people in about 15 different countries. I love the international element of my job. So many people are unhappy in theirs that I feel blessed to love mine.
Over coffee what would you like to talk about ?
