Virtual Coffee Date : November

Hello November ! As always, I am happy to catch up with DeborahCoco and the rest of you for this month’s virtual coffee date. So grab a chair and let’s catch up.

The-Ultimate-Coffee-Date2

If we were having coffee…we would definitely talk about the NYC marathon. When you read this, I will be in NYC. My husband & I left for the US on Friday the 4th, and Saturday will be full of events. I need to pick up my bib in the morning, then I signed my husband & I up for a bus tour that goes along the marathon route. We will then be meeting up with these ladies :

Then we will be having dinner with my brother, SIL, her brother (who is also running) and some more family. Saturday will be a busy day.

I would also tell you that I am really excited to run. I am pretty sure this will be my last marathon, so I want to make the most of it and soak up the whole experience. I love NY and I feel so lucky to have this opportunity.

THANK YOU for putting up with all my marathon talk over the past few weeks, and for all the encouragement you have been giving. I appreciate it immensely.

Over coffee, I would tell you that in addition to the race, I am excited for a few days alone with my husband. We spent a mini honeymoon in NYC over 20 years ago and have not been back together since. September and October were so busy at work for both of us, that we haven’t had much time to connect.

If we were having coffee, I would chat about family. As I will be in the US, I am taking the opportunity to go up to Maine and see my parents. I haven’t seen them since March.

Finally, over coffee I would tell you that I survived the US college application process. My eldest is a senior and applied to one art school in the US. Between preparing a portfolio, getting recommendations, writing an essay…. we have been busy. It was due November 1st. So glad that is behind us. She will know on December 15th if she is accepted, then we will decide what to do.

And if you survived the conversation with all my marathon talk, I would also want to know how you are doing ?

What is your fall goal race ? I

f you are married where did you honeymoon ?

Enjoy the marathon and the trip to Maine!! Sounds lovely. Also cool to have revisit the honeymoon! I was married (to my current husband, Mr. (W)Right) in Las Vegas. We didn’t stay out there really long but it was kindof a honeymoon! We should get our vows renewed by Elvis for our 10th next year 🙂

Maine is wonderful in the summer & fall, should still be nice this week. Not so great in the winter though unless you like lots of snow. 🙂

We went on a cruise to the carribean for our honeymoon. It was so different way back in the Stone Age!

I hope Darlene finds you today — if anyone can, she can! I’m sorry I won’t get to cheer you on but I’ll definitely be thinking of you.
