If we were having coffee I am sure we would talk about all of the (unnecessary) long weekend and holidays in May in France. I didn’t work a full week for six weeks strait. Not that I am complaining but it was a bit much. And because the rest of the world doesn’t stop for French holidays, I still need to cram 5 days of work into 4.
Over coffee, I am sure we would chat about family and friends….
I spent great quality time with my husband this past month. We went to the theater, and even went away for four days with friends, to the Mediterranean. My girlfriend and I did four days of sightseeing, while our husbands scuba dived. Gorgeous weather, gorgeous sights.
Kids ! My eldest is finishing her sophomore year, and is leaving for the US to work for several weeks. OMG when did that happen ?!And the youngest is finishing 8th grade. She is also going to the US for several weeks, and they will be coming back to France end of July. (big thanks to my mom and friend, Helene, for having them)
I am REALLY excited to see my sister in law and nieces in about 2 weeks. They are temporarily living in Africa on military assignment, but are coming back to France for the summer. From last summer :
Over coffee I am sure we would talk about running. I had a wonderful 10K race last weekend and another one tomorrow. I am lucking out with the weather.
If we were having coffee, travel would be on the agenda. I have some travel coming up this month, primarily several days in Moscow. I haven’t been in a while and I am really looking forward to it, though do not know what to expect with all the turmoil the country is going through. Photo source
If we were having coffee I am sure we would talk about the house projects I have started… freshening up our two bathrooms with new paint and tile. While they are not completed yet, things are definitely moving in the right direction. Picking out tile was probably my worse nightmare of the month of May :
Doesn’t it all look the same ?
What did you do in May ? Any house projects underway ? Races ?
