Things I have been happy about these past few days…

  • My girls, who are growing up to be wonderful people – seeing them get excited about a book or movie, having opinions, or wanting to spend time with their parents
  • A husband who cooks… sometimes I just do not feel like it
  • Our cat, too cute

  • The warm weather – it has been in the 60s
  • Long days – I can run in the evenings
  • The pool – I can stay active with less pressure on my foot

  • My living room decoration – slowly but surely its coming together
  • Mango & stawberries –  sooo good

And this week is my staycation. I am looking forward to resting up, reading a book, spending time with family and generally just relaxing. No pressure !

What does your week look like ? What are you looking forward to ? Good luck to all the Boston Marathoners today !

Hi Karen! Sounds like you have a great staycation planned, resting and reading a book sounds wonderful to me. I am looking forward to a girl’s trip this weekend to Fredericksburg, TX. Six ladies from work are all headed to the Texas hill country to relax, run, drink some wine and enjoy each other’s company.

Oh wow had no idea that’s how long you’ve lived in France (fairly new to your blog). I would love to raise my son somewhere outside the US!

Love the pictures of you family cooking! Your cat is also quite cute!
I am also quite grateful that my husband not only cooks, but cooks really well. I’m grateful he was raised to think that it’s okay for a guy to cook (and clean) and that we’re equal partners in our relationship.
A cousin of mine is in Paris right now and I told her what a wonderful time of year it is to visit. Enjoy the spring weather!

My husband was also raised to be an equal partner. I find we have come a long way since the fifties.
