November food & fitness

This past week was a three day work week for us because of Veteran’s Day on Tuesday (we also had Monday off), and we had plans with friends Friday and Saturday, so my workout schedule and eating were not that of a typical week.

 

Fitness :

  • Monday : off
  • Tuesday : 60 minutes of cardio (elliptical, stationary bike, treadmill) + some ab work
  • Wednesday : one hour of weights / ab work at the gym
  • Thursday : off
  • Friday : off
  • Saturday :  45 minute uphill treadmill workout + ab work
  • Sunday : 12 km outside run

Great 12 km run

Food :

We had a ton of leftovers last week, so I didn’t do much cooking during the week. I am completely addicted to butternut squash at the moment. Is it possible to OD on squash ???? Here is a glimpse at the weekend :

We went out to dinner with friends on Friday, so happy to see this group, it had been way too long.

Went to the market on Saturday, my husband bought crab, then I spent my afternoon baking. Great banana bread with pecans and flax seed. I have a small muffin pan and it annoys me that I have to spend an hour filling and emptying the muffin pans, so I put the recipe into a bread pan. I then slice it and freeze it.

I am travelling this week for a couple days so not sure how the week will turn out food and fitness wise.

    Good idea to put the muffin batter in a loaf pan! I’ve thought about doing that, but just haven’t yet.
