I runfess…I have had almost 2 months off from a training plan and I am
about ready to start up again. But, I have enjoyed not having the structure, and being able to do what I want.
I runfess… I feel the need for speed. I will never win any age group award, but I think I can run faster. I am going to use the Galloway training method again for my second marathon, but I want to focus my week day runs on running faster.
I runfess…. I have a small injury. Because I have been doing what I want, I did speed training one day, hill repeats the next, and yoga with lots of downward dogs the third and pulled something in my lower calf / soleus muscle / tendon. And it has started to radiate up the back of my leg. I haven’t seen a doctor, I am just trying to take it easy but that is so hard for me. Especially with the nice weather and daylight, I want to be up and out before 7 a.m. It is throwing off my gait, so my knee hurts. Ugh. I have been trying to stretch but it doesn’t seem to help.
I runfess… I have been tracking what I am eating. I was so worried about gaining weight in between cycles. So far, so good, no weight gain.
