Our weekend was quite low key. Friday evening we went to our country home. We hadn’t been in a while and needed to make sure that everything was OK. No branches down, heat still working, no broken pipes. Phew. Everything was fine ! Spring is just around the corner… first flowers are up. My husband made a wonderful fire Friday evening, very cozy.
Saturday : cooking, exercising, rearranging
We woke up on Saturday and it was raining hard, so we decided to come back to Paris early. Went and bought new pots & pans, started arranging the kitchen, and I went to the gym to do some weights. I was thrilled to be able to exercise, as I hadn’t been able to during the week. Our oven was working so I made some veggies and we grilled steak. I also had a major craving for hard cheese. Mimolette & emmental for me, Maroilles for the family.
Sunday : major energy due to spring like weather.
It was in the fifties. I immediately felt like running. And it felt good, so I just kept going. Over 10km, very little knee or foot pain. But I did not want to push it, so I stopped after an hour or so.
Any free time I had was spent setting up my kitchen. I spent literally all day rearranging my cupboards and closets, going through my pots, pans & utensils, bought some new plates. And once it was set up I couldn’t wait to use it. Made a huge batch of protein pancakes. Great new recipe I found.
First time I tried this recipe from pbfingers. Yummy !
And at the end of the day I was out ! Just like our cat !
