#Holidaysweat challenge

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and participate in the #holidaysweat challenge with Amanda at Run to the Finish and Fit Approach.

The end of the year is always a challenge for me… lots of parties, family get togethers and lots of this :

And this :

However ! I have started training for the Paris Marathon 2016, and I am feeling really good. I am feeling strong, motivated, healthy, happy and focused. So I don’t want the holidays to derail me (too much), which is why a holiday challenge sounded great.

I think it will also be a great way to (virtually) meet new people, be sourrounded by positive vibes and generally keep me on track and accountable to myself.

There is an activity or prompt each day. This week we had to set a goal for the number of physical activity minutes, post a favorite piece of gear, and today take our workout outside.

  • 300 minutes is my time goal this week (since I am alone in a hotel in the US, and the gym is a 30 second walk down the hall, this will not be hard)
  • my favorite piece of gear I am currently loving is this Athleta jacket :

  • Finally, no workout outside today. I am in a strange area, so I will stick to the gym !Let’s say that running outside ealy Monday morning, before flying to the US, will be my proxy for today !

I think its going to be lots of fun, so stay tuned !

Are you participating ? Ever participate in a challenge ?

I was very tempted by this challenge. It would be great motivation during the holidays, but I didn’t want any extra pressure to do anything that might set me back with my foot. I’m getting pretty close to the end and need to be extra careful right now. Good luck!

I’m doing this challenge too–but I’m not going to set weekly minute goals…I’m pretty good about sticking to the plan. It’s fun to check in with them, tho!

This is a great time to take on challenge! I resisted this year just because I have been having some troubles and I want to take a break if I need it. Once i start with a mission I always have a really hard letting it go.
I really do love that jacket! It is adorable 🙂

I did this last year and I totally agree the rally of motivating prompts and participants will help you stay on track through the holidays.

Gosh, I can already tell my eating habits have changed.
