Friday Five : All I want for Christmas…

I am linking up with Courtney at Eat Pray Run, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What, and Mar at Mar on the Run for this week’s theme which is Holiday wish lists.

If I think forward over the next few weeks, this is what I am wishing for (besides all the running stuff I want)  :

1.  To fully enjoy our family traditions on the 24th and 25th. I am lucky to be part of a family that gets along and the only drama we have is bickering over who’s dessert is best.

2. That the warm weather continues, so I don’t freeze my butt off when I run early mornings. I am also counting down until Dec. 21st when the days start getting longer (but I know this wish will come true so I didn’t put it on my list).

3. That I can spend some quality time with my girls. I will be on vacation 10 days as will my client and most of my colleagues, which means checking email will be very limited. My husband has to work, boo.

4. That I can finish the book I am reading, having started  it 6 weeks ago…All the Light We Cannot See.

5. That I won’t over do on the food & drink. I don’t want to start the new year tired, lethargic.

What’s on your wish list for the holiday ? Anything big on your gift list ? Looking forward to family traditions?

OMG yes to #2 and the excitement over days getting a bit longer! In Alaska we celebrate the winter solstice because we know the midnight sun is finally on its way back! It’s the darkest day of the year and it sucks, but I always try to get outside on that day to make the most of the few hours of sunlight.

I have never been to Alaska but I can imagine how dark it could be. Just a few more days !

I am with you on the weather! It has been fabulous here lately and so unseasonably warm. I would love it to stay this way till like March!

Warm weather & no snow would make me a very happy girl, indeed! A bit more sleep would be greatly appreciated, too.

Ah yes, sleep (especially naps) works too !

The weather could definitely cool down a bit here in Florida. I’d like to not wear so much Summer attire this Christmas. It’s so hard to get in the spirit of Christmas when you’re walking around sweating in jeans and flip flops.

I understand. Especially since I grew up in Maine, and worked at Disney one year at Christmas… it just wasn’t the same for me.

I loved a White Christmas when I was young but now, I can definitely do without it.
