Food & fitness

Wow, February already ! Wishing all my American friends & readers a fun Superbowl Sunday. As I am from New England, I have to say Go Patriots ! or my friends and family will disown me.

A quick recap into how my week went :

Fitness :

  • Wednesday : One hour at the gym, with 20 minutes elliptical , 30 minutes weights and stretching
  • Friday  : 45 minute aqua gym class. We have changed teachers. Change always requires a bit of adjustment and even if I really liked the last teacher, the new one is just as fun. Young and energetic.
  • Sunday : 50 minute run on the treadmill + 15 minutes ab work. Post workout / no makeup selfie :

Food : I didn’t have time to cook this weekend. I had way too much to do, but nonetheless ate well, as my husband is a good cook. Today for lunch we had monkfish and steamed veggies, and on Saturday pork tenderloin with apples and pears :

My  weekend was chock full of activities. On Saturday morning I helped out at school for a fair, on Saturday afternoon I brought my daughter to her sports meet, and on the way home did take advantage of a couple sales :

Saturday night we were invited to dinner at friends. Parking is getting worse in Paris, so we took the subway, and I just took a couple snapshots of our appetizer and cheese plate.

And while I did spend some time with these lovely ladies, I spent a good part of my Sunday working. 🙁 Its rare that I need to work weekends though, so no complaining.

We have a mega blizzard in progress so after making my way to the gym and the grocery store (so many cars were stuck in the snow) we’re hunkering down at home with chili, guacamole and a roaring fire.
Yay for your husband being a good cook! Mine is a non-cook. :p

It was an exciting game last night! We have had really cold icy weather and missed most of the snow. Looks like you had a great week of workouts! hope to see one of your recipes again soon!

Were you able to watch the game? They showed it in Australia and it was pretty exciting! I’m from Mass originally so I was definitely going for the Pats!

No didn’t get to watch the game… have to go to a bar to see it, and at midnight, that’s no longer my thing !
