A tie for Nike & Athleta

I am linking up with Marcia at Marcia’s Healthy Slice, Erika at MCM Mama runs and Patty at My no guilt life for Tuesdays on the run where today’s topic is Brand ambassadorship / Dream sponsor.

tuesdays

This was a hard topic for me. I work in marketing so  know that while word of mouth is the best publicity brands could have, I feel that some brands go over the top. It drives me nuts to see the same brands, pop up at the same time all over social media. Kudos to the marketing teams for doing their job, but still….

But if I was forced to choose, I would definitely choose an apparel brand, and it would be a complete toss up between Athleta or Nike, which make up at least 60% of my (running) wardrobe.

Athleta pants and jackets : I always find cuts which are flattering on my short frame and I find the quality excellent.

Nike tops : I wear them over and over and have several. I love the thumb holes of the long sleeved shirts, and they are not too tight around my middle where I tend to be a bit thick.

Athleta top with Nike pants :

I have two of these tops because there is a rubberish band around the bottom which prevents the top from riding up.

I wear Athleta in my daily life. This is one of my favorite tops. The picture was taken spectating the 2015 Paris marathon.

And this black one I have worn and worn and worn. Once again, it is fitted without being too tight.

So if Nike or Athleta want me to try out all their new models, I would be happy to !

What is your favorite brand apparel ?

I really like both brands too! I’m too cheap to really buy more Athleta gear, though I do have a pair of capris I bought on clearance that I love! I hope they are looking your way! 😉

I am just careful with the material I buy because I have bought some and as soon as I sweat it look like I peed myself. I took them back.

I’ve never found Athleta pants to fit me quite right, but their dresses and swimsuits are the best!!

I love Athleta but I don’t own any yet. I like Nike stuff but typically the tops don’t fit me, I always have a time finding stuff to fit. I love your pink Athleta, I do love when you finally find pieces that you can enjoy over and over.

Athleta has all kinds of different cuts. You should try it. AND it does go on sale.

You’re so cute! Love that shirt with the band around the bottom so it doesn’t ride up. I’m going to have to look into that. AND – I completely agree with the brands that overmarket. (Is that a word?) I tend to back away from the brands that I see everywhere too.
